Please join us as we celebrate the Department of Economics' Class of 2026! The program will feature remarks from our Department Chair, Dr. Eric Zivot, and our 2026 Distinguished Alumnus, Matthew Bannick.

This special occasion will bring together students, faculty, families, and friends to celebrate the accomplishments of our graduates. Let's together recognize our exceptional students and honor our PhD and bachelor’s degree recipients.

Cap & Gown Required? / Dress Code

Optional

Caps and gowns (graduation regalia) are encouraged but are not required. However, the vast majority of graduates will choose to wear them. Dress is business casual for those not wearing UW graduation regalia.

Ticket Information:

Tickets are not required, however, we ask that students bring no more than 6 guests. The HUB Ballroom doors will be closed when the room reaches capacity. Please email econevent@uw.edu to request any disability accommodations.

Parking Information

If you wish to park on campus for this event, a UW Special Event Parking Permit will be required. Students should purchase these permits for themselves and their guests through the Commencement Registration/Order Form, May 11 to May 24, 2026. Day of parking may be available for additional cost, but lot selection and availability are not guaranteed.
