The Army and Navy ROTC programs will be conducting separate service commissioning ceremonies for their graduating students at Sylvan Grove on the Seattle Campus. This is an outdoor venue.

Cap & Gown Required? / Dress Code

Business casual: neat, professional attire such as collared shirts, blouses, slacks, skirts, or dresses. Please avoid denim, shorts, athletic wear, and casual footwear. This is an outdoor ceremony so dress for the weather.

Contact Chief Eric Zeigler at ericz8@uw.edu to attend if you are not an invited family member or friend of one of the commissionees.
Parking Information
If you wish to park on campus for this event, a UW Special Event Parking Permit will be required. Students should purchase these permits for themselves and their guests through the Commencement Registration/Order Form, Mid May to May 24, 2026. Day of parking may be available for additional cost, but lot selection and availability are not guaranteed.
