The 2026 Department of Geography Convocation Ceremony will take place on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The ceremony will start at 2:00 PM Pacific Time in Kane Hall 130. Graduates must check in no later than 1:30 PM. Following the ceremony there will be a reception outside in Red Square.

Ticket Information:
Recent alums who earned a degree in Autumn 2025 and Winter 2026, and current students who have applied to graduate in Spring 2026 or Summer 2026, will receive an invitation from the Department of Geography Advising Office (geogadv@uw.edu) on May 1. You must register for Convocation using the registration link from that email invitation. Please pay careful attention to your email inbox – and check your SPAM/junk mail folders regularly – to be sure you receive this invitation!
Parking Information
If you wish to park on campus for this event, a UW Special Event Parking Permit will be required. Students should purchase these permits for themselves and their guests through the Commencement Registration/Order Form, Mid May to May 24, 2026. Day of parking may be available for additional cost, but lot selection and availability are not guaranteed.
